The notion of community cohesion, is one that is becoming an increasingly topical issue. After living in Hulme for the past two years, I have realised that its reputation does not reflect the experience of the people that live there. Local change makers like Tony Wright, the leader of the social enterprise, the Youth Village Limited share this view and has hopes to transform the community using culture, creativity and heritage as drivers. 

The neglected Hulme Hippodrome is the perfect building to bring these ideas to life as it has a rich History and culture itself. The 115 year old hidden gem will be restored to its former glory for a new generation to enjoy, whilst still engaging in its amazing past.
