RECHARGE: COMMUNAL AREA

Second Year Unit X/ Blackfriars House/ Live Brief

A project to re-think and re-propose how we inhabit, socialise and work within city workspace. Working as part of a team with Bruntwood as a client, we designed a space where clients could relax and build relationships through interaction with the other clients in the building.

ENTHOENTOMOLOGY WELL BEING CENTRE

Second Year Project/ Cornerhouse

To reshape and reinvent an iconic Manchester building into a space of equal status and importance to the cultural educational or creative profile of the city. Ethnoentomology describes how people are using insects around the world for food, rituals and medicine. Insects are used to benefit people both nutritionally and medically in different societies and so the well being centre would introduce this concept to the western world to raise awareness of both the health benefits, and the environmental advantages this small change in our diets could bring.
